DIY enthusiast Pontus Alv is the man behind Polar Skateboards, based in Malmö, Sweden. As well as being one of Polar’s senior riders he featured in a Polar promo from 2012, along with Hjalte Halberg, Jerome Campbell, Aaron Herrington, Michał Juraś and Kevin Rodriguez. Pontus is also the driving force of the company’s art department. One of the pioneers of the original European skateboarding exodus to the USA, his early career saw him take his talent around the world, featuring in videos such as Cliche’s Europa from 2000, before he moved back home. Now just as much a filmmaker as a skateboarder, his independent films, such as 2010’s In Search Of The Miraculous, and i like it here inside my mind, dont wake me this time.
